Adrienne reached out to me as her family was planning an early fall trip to Maine. She told me that every year they pick a different place to go and get family photographs taken while there. I love this idea of documenting family time together while vacationing as a way to commemorate the trip. It serves as a little time capsule. Some of my best memories as a kid are of my family trips to Maine in the summer - long days at the beach, cookouts back at the rental, and near daily ice creams. What I would give to have some of those times photographed!

During this session we climbed up the cliffs at Reid State Park, looking out at the views and sitting on the rocks. It took a little time for the kids to shake off the shyness, but after the short trek they were playing in the sand and running along the water.

I love long family sessions, sitting at your kitchen table, chatting about your weekend plans and family traditions. Long sessions create time and space for us all to get comfortable, for you to ease into your natural family dynamic. But, there’s absolutely a place for mini sessions as well! Though they may be short (my mini sessions tend to run about 30 minutes), they are perfect for squirmy kids and those with limited time. I offer mini sessions only at Reid State Park in Midcoast Maine. A few rolls of film, 30 minutes with your loved ones, and stunning views of the Maine coast! Reid State Park is a place that is incredibly special to me. I know the light, paths, and all the little spots to photograph you. We hang out for a bit, chat, walk up the cliffs and hang down by the water. It’s simple and a beautiful way to make memories together.
